'Since that you will have major changes in your computer hardware, your Windows 10 activation will be deactivated and what you need to do is to contact our Up and Running department as they will assist you on how to re-activate your Windows 10 activation.'

I clicked on the link he gave me to talk to the person to re-activate it and got Marlon B who said:
'To be able to activate again your Windows 10 is you need to reinstall windows 7 before upgrading to windows 10'
I asked how this works because I thought Win 7 would have been deactivated. He said:
'Nope it will not deactivate your windows 7
Just keep your windows 7 product key handy and the installation media'
I asked if you will still be able to do the upgrade after the 1-yr upgrade window expired and he said:
'I believe yes you are entitled already for the upgrade but then again you cannot clean install windows 10 right away.'
I was a bit confused about the 'clean install' thing. He clarified:
'You will only have windows 10 product key when you purchase windows 10. Since you have Windows 10 UPGRADE version, you will not own product key, that is why you need to go back to your previous operating system'

I need to know where to find my product key number. I cannot use some programs without it. I did receive a product key number from Norton Security systems but when I try to use it, the system says it is incorrect. The number I have is <<Removed>>. Can you confirm this is correct or tell me where to access the correct product key number.

You don't have *a* product key. You probably have a product key for each of several different products. For example, if you are running Windows 7, you certainly have a Windows 7 product key. If you have Microsoft Office installed, you have an Office product key. And if Norton uses a product key, then you have a Norton product key. And several other programs use product keys too. A single product key can not be used for several different products.
So when you say 'I need to know where to find my product key number. I cannot use some programs without it' that makes no sense. Each of the programs that you can't use has its own product key, so please tell us which programs you are asking about and where you got the programs. Each of the programs should have come with its own product key in the package it came in.

And one remaining point: if you are asking about a product key for programs that are part of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and Office came with your computer, almost certainly what you have is only a trial version of Office, and you have no product key for it. Your trial period has expired, and if you want to continue using it, you now need to buy the product and get a key for it.
