Enabling GPU support in Windows 10 (self.premiere) submitted 2 years ago by 2foot2los. I just built a new pc for video editing and like an idiot chose a GPU that isnt supported by premiere CC. In past versions it seems like you can just go to the cuda supported cards list and add your GPU.

I just built a new pc for video editing and like an idiot chose a GPU that isnt supported by premiere CC. In past versions it seems like you can just go to the cuda supported cards list and add your GPU. For some reason in Windows 10 for the new Premiere and AME this file doesnt seem to exist. Even though I have the option to use CUDA within CC I am getting 0% usage out of my GPU during rendering and limited CPU usage.

I would appreciate any help in getting this to work since hour long render times for 2 minute clips is pretty outrageous.
Mar 07, 2018 I am on a brand new laptop with Adobe Premiere 2018 and an NVIDIA GeFore GTX 1050. When I render I see the CPU go to 100% while the GPU sits idle. In the settings for Premiere I see the 'Renderer' set to 'Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)' and I made a text file in the directory for Premiere called: 'cudasupportedcards.txt' with. CUDA acceleration appears as an option for the Mercury Playback Engine in both Premiere and Media Encoder. When I make an export, even with CUDA selected, the software encodes with my CPU instead. I was under the impression that on Windows 10 I only need to install the driver, that I don't need a separate CUDA driver like on macOS. Ganguro girls game.
